Getting Creative with Stationery

I was kindly invited to the Viking blogger event recently but I sadly couldn’t attend. So the lovely people at Viking sent me a creative stationery kit to learn how to do calligraphy, something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.

The Viking stationery kit arrived with a set of fab pens, some calligraphy guidance and lots of coloured paper and card to practice on.

I don’t think I’ve done anything creative like this since A Level art (other than “helping” Harry colour inside the lines in his colouring books! ?)

The boys were both out so I made a coffee, sat at my desk and had a go (if you’ve read my post on learning to slow down, you will see I rarely make time for myself!) I found it super relaxing to just sit quietly and let my creativity run free. I’m definitely not the next Frida Kahlo (I don’t have the eyebrows for it!) but I was pretty pleased with my efforts!

I’m keeping these Viking colouring pens away from Harry and they now have pride of place on my desk.

Just look out for my Christmas cards, I’m all about the calligraphy now! In all seriousness, I really enjoyed taking a little time for myself to chill out and let my creative flair shine. I’m definitely going to buy some more stationery bits and pieces and make time for myself more regularly.

Viking is the leading provider of office supplies, from stationery to furniture. Take a look at their website for everything you could possibly need for your office (in my case home office!) Take a look at the Viking website here.

Viking kindly sent me these items to try but all views and opinions expressed are my own.
